Trails for Children

The Arts Society Trails of Discovery are for children aged 8 - 12 years old and guide them around a place of worship or a historic building looking at art, artefacts, architecture and history. A corresponding answer sheet is provided for accompanying adults. Our Children's Trails prompt young people to enjoy the stories behind their local landmarks. It's wonderful to see children's curiosity come to light.

Town Trails

The aim is to encourage children to explore an area looking at art, architecture and local history, broadening their knowledge and providing an enjoyable experience. This type of trail does not have an answer sheet, all the answers can be found by looking at information en route.

Memory Trails

Memory Trails are for people living with dementia and have been created with the help of phsychiatric and dementia professionals. The trail takes the person living with dementia and their family or carer around the church or building looking at and touching objects, evoking memories and prompting conversation.
